Program Overview
The objective of our master’s program is to equip students with the necessary skills to play a significant role in promoting multicultural communication and exchange between Taiwan and Japan. Our focus is to enhance student’s ability to observe and analyze the interface between language and culture in multilingual and multicultural contexts, with a particular emphasis on Taiwan and Japan. Our master’s program comprises three areas: “Language and Education,” “Society and Representation of Cultural Aspects,” and “Communication and Culture,” with a concentration on “Japanese Language Studies,” “Taiwan-Japan Language Contact,” ” Cross-cultural Re-presentation between Taiwan and Japan,” and “Taiwan-Japan Social Exchange.” In the second year of the program, students will undertake a “Social Exchange Project” of their own accord, centered on the theme of social connections (please refer to our Webpage for details). Through these projects, students will gain practical experience in multilingual and multicultural communication and exchanges.
